It has just been announced that Hollyoaks star Jake Hendriks who is best known as Father Kieron Hobbs is to star as Jack in the in production of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Hazlitt Arts Centre in Maidstone.

This week the Pantomime producers Westward Ventures Limited announced the line-up also confirming that Michael Fenton Stevens who played Mr Griffith in My Family is to play Jack’s mother Dame Trott. It’s said that the panto will also feature a local funny man Tom Swift.

Gary Telfer who is the Company director, said that “To land Jake for the pantomime is fantastic as he is very current on our television screens and hugely popular with our target audience. I spoke to Jake over the weekend and he can’t wait to come and meet the Maidstone people. I think this year is going to see one of the best Maidstone pantomimes ever, we will be putting in an amazing live band so the audience can expect an all new look to the Hazlitt Arts Centre pantomime this year.”

I think Jake is great on Hollyoaks and would like to see him in panto as Jack. Its great he has taken up this opportunity. Totally different to the character of Keiron but sure experience will on enrich him to the general public.
