A rodeo bull and a climbing wall will be among the many entertainments at the Benenden Hospital Open Day on Saturday 12 July. There will also be Woody the One Man Band, a bouncy castle, Morris dancers and children dancing as well as all the attractions of a traditional summer fete, including stalls, raffles, balloonatics, games, cream teas, barbecue and a bar. Music will be provided by the Cranbrook Town Band.
The hospital – which takes NHS patients under the Choose and Book scheme as well as private patients and members of the Benenden Healthcare Society – will be open for visitors to look around.
“It is not often that you get the chance to have a tour of a hospital,” said PR Officer Carrie Stephens. “We are a small hospital at the heart of our community and we are keen to show it off as we take great pride in our quality of patient care and cleanliness. The feedback from patients is fantastic and we will be here to explain how people can join the Benenden Healthcare Society or opt to use our services as a NHS or private patient.”
The Open Day, which is from 10am to 4pm, is free and everyone is welcome.
