Property agents compete
Leading commercial property agents from London and the South East competed in this year’s Kings Hill Cup golf tournament, which was held at the development’s 18-hole PGA championship course.

Now in its eighth year, the tournament is an established fixture for the Office Agents Society and was hosted by Kings Hill developer Liberty Property Trust UK Ltd and the business park’s letting agents CB Richard Ellis, Knight Frank and Altus-Edwin Hill.

After a fortifying breakfast, 34 golfers completed nine holes, teeing off simultaneously from the 1st and 10th. The winner of the Kings Hill Cup was Sam Kirkaldy from Savills, who also won a magnum of champagne and a club jumper.

The runners up for the front nine and back nine respectively were Mark Emburey of Colliers CRE and Claus Brewer of Savills who each won a magnum of champagne and a club shirt. The two nearest the pins for the eighth and 17th respectively were Stuart Austin of Jones Lang LaSalle and Dan Berry of Knight Frank, who each won a magnum of champagne.

John Barker from Matthew & Goodman was randomly selected from correct entries of a website competition and was presented with a £400 Fusion series Callaway golf driver.

Presenting the prizes Andrew Blevins, managing director of Liberty Property Trust UK Ltd – who also took part – said: “This is a relaxed and informal way of updating agents on what is happening at Kings Hill and for them to network with their fellow professionals over a game of golf.

“We have had an excellent year so far at Kings Hill with around 160,000 sq ft of property transactions in the past six months and we were able to show the agents space currently available and brief them on plans for the future.”

The 6,600 yard par 72 Kings Hill Golf Club is set in 200 acres of undulating terrain featuring large areas of protected heath and mature woodland. The light and airy colonial style clubhouse is a focal point of Kings Hill for both the business and the residential communities.
