Release Date for Mozilla Firefox 3 is today: new browser looks good

Today is the release date for Mozilla Firefox 3 and having just downloaded it we can tell you the new version of Firefox’s web browser looks good. Some people will take a little while to adjust to new features, when typing a URL in the address bar it now shows you not just the history of URL’s but also the title that goes with each of those pages.

This feature helps you see what the page was about but if you know these sites well it can be confusing at first looking at URL’s and titles of the pages. Another cool feature is the addition of a drop down menu for “Most Visited”, here you will find the pages and sites you visit the most and can be a very quick way to find something you like to see often, but have not bookmarked.

Overall the interface is a lot more sleek and we also hope a lot more stable, Firefox has been my number one choice for a long time now on both Mac and Windows computers but it has been hogging lots of resources and slowing down computers that use Windows Vista in our experience.

If you have not downloaded the new Firefox 3 then you can get it right now here on the Mozilla website, we are also hearing that developers and open source software enthusiasts are planning parties all over the world, so today must be an important day for people in that industry. With the Firefox team hoping to get in the Guinness World Records for the most software downloads in 24 hours, do you think Firefox 3.0 will make this happen?

What system will you be downloading Firefox 3 Release Candidate 3 for, Windows, Mac OS X or Linux?

Exactly. Where in the world is the official release?
If things don’t go up soon, this whole world record business is down the drain. D:
