Yesterday gadget fans everywhere were celebrating after finding out they can finally get their hands on an iPhone for free. But it’s said that anyone signing up to a new mobile phone contract with network 02 will have to join a £45 a month tariff in order to qualify for the free phone.

On Monday Apple announced that a smaller and faster version of the must-have iPhone would be released on the 11th July. The original price for the iPhone was £269 which in turn put many would-be buyers off so now the firm has cut its basic price to just £100. the iPhone will also be available on Pay As You Go for the first time.

Charles Dunstone who is the boss of The Carphone Warehouse which has an exclusive deal to sell the iPhone said that “It’s rare for a mobile phone to cause global excitement but iPhone sets the standard for others to follow. We’re expecting a huge demand.” It’s said that Charles also promised good deals for those who already have the original iPhone but want to upgrade to the new one. Which my husband is going to do on the 11th July.
