Sevenoaks House Builder Continues Expansion Plans

June 9th, 2008 · No Comments · Email This

Sevenoaks-based house builder Regalpoint has expanded its portfolio of land and property across the South East following the acquisition of a major portion of competitor Silver Homes. Regalpoint has put together a £2million rescue and restructuring package for Crowborough-based Silver Homes, acquiring sites for development in East Sussex and Surrey.

The majority of developments acquired by Regalpoint and already started by Silver Homes will now carry Regalpoint branding. The most significant site that Regalpoint will take on is Wadhurst College, where there is currently a planning application for 48 units providing more than 50,000 square feet of residential accommodation.

Regalpoint Managing Director Tony Porter said: “The acquisition of the major portion of Silver Homes fits in well with our on-going interest in expansion through acquiring similar sized house-builders.”

Regalpoint acquired up-market Surrey homes builder Prism Homes in July 2007 and Mr Porter added: “The sites we have taken on complement our existing business and we are keen to further expand and enhance the reputation of Regalpoint as a quality and respected developer of new homes across the South East.

“Although some businesses may be suffering in the current property market, we are confident in our success to date and the strength of our brand. We will continue to look at investment opportunities.”

As part of the acquisition deal, Silver Homes’ Sales and Marketing Director Karen Lee-Brindle will take up a consultancy role with Regalpoint with a view to becoming a permanent employee.
