Father’s Day at Westwood Cross

June 6th, 2008 · No Comments · Email This

Tucked away on the third Sunday of June, Father’s Day has a nasty habit of creeping up and taking people by surprise. Every year. So it’s a good job Westwood Cross – East Kent’s top retail and leisure destination – is bursting with ideas to ensure that on 15 June the only surprise will be a pleasant one for the man himself.

Whether it’s a new pair of shorts to replace the embarrassingly tight pair he wears when tending the summer barbeque, a DVD box-set of his favourite comedy series or a CD for him to rock out to when no one is looking, Westwood Cross has it covered.

Sports fan? Kit him out with the latest gear and equipment at JJB Sports. Film nut? Look no further than HMV. Into computers? Pick him out something at Game.

If he dresses a bit too much like an ‘embarrassing dad’ for your liking, Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to do something about it. Head along to Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, Next or Burton and choose something stylish for him to wear this summer so his Hawaiian shirt can stay safely tucked away in the cupboard.

Tracie Stevens, Marketing Manager at Westwood Cross, said: “Father’s Day is also a great opportunity to take advantage of the leisure facilities at Westwood Cross. Why not turn the tables and take him out for a meal for a change at Ask, Chiquitos, Nando’s or Frankie and Benny’s?

“Or let him play at being James Bond for a night at G Casino’s. He can enjoy a vodka martini or two between games of Blackjack and Roulette and he doesn’t even have to squeeze into a dinner jacket to play!”

So give him a treat this Father’s Day – and just in case you’ve forgotten already, it’s on 15 June this year.
