Last night Mark Hughes signed a three-year deal worth around £9million to become the new Manchester City boss. Mark met the new executive chairman Gary Cook in London to finalise the contract. It’s also said that Mark has been told that the owner Thaksin Shinawatra will make a further £35m available for new players.
Mark Hughes takes over after Sven Goran Eriksson was officially sacked with a £1m pay-off on Monday. The Former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson is still holding out for a further £500,000 having got the club into Europe.
It’s reported that Blackburn defender Stephen Warnock was desperate for Mark Hughes to reject Manchester City’s advances. Stephan recently signed a deal to keep him at Ewood Park for the next four years. He said that “I signed a new contract under the impression Mark was going to be our manager. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the club itself but he was the reason I came. I wanted to play for him.”
Do you think that he will make a good boss?
