Now’s the time to arrange your children’s entertainment for the long school summer holidays if you want to avoid the familiar cry of “I’m bored, what can I do?”

To keep your household harmonious, St Edmund’s School Canterbury is organising three weeks of special sporting, activity and creative fun for children aged 5–15. The courses, which will be on 28 July to 1 August, 4 to 8 August and 11 to 15 August will be run by qualified specialist teachers and coaches.

For those keen on sport there will be cricket coaching with top players including former West Indians Collis King and Hartley Alleyne; football coaching and a mini ‘World Cup Tournament’ with FA qualified coaches; tennis with LTA coaches; golf with PGA professional David Vernon and trampolining, gymnastics, martial arts and swimming with qualified coaches.

There will also be drama with an international actor from the Bristol Old Vic, art and craft sessions and multi-fun activities for 5-8 year olds and much more.

During the third week children will be able to scuba dive, learn martial art skills and enjoy the fun of bouncy castles to name but a few.

“Our courses are extremely popular and are booked up long before they start, so anyone interested should get in touch as soon as possible to secure their place,” said SummerFest Manager, Trudie Cliff.

“These courses are a great opportunity for children to acquire new skills, or improve existing ones, whilst having fun. Parents can leave their children, knowing they will be expertly looked after, and go off to work or enjoy some time to themselves.”
