Footprint on Mars: is there life on the red planet
This looks like a footprint in the dust of Mars looks like there could be proof that there is life on the Red Planet. But this dent was actually made by a robot arm from the spacecraft Phoenix, which is digging into the soil to look for signs of ice.

The photo of the print was beamed back to Nasa chiefs in California on the £230million mission’s sixth day. It’s said that it was the news from another planet that got scientists most excited because it could be swimming with life.

It’s said that Boffins have spotted the most Earth-like planet ever found and it is orbiting a star 3,000 light years from us. The planet is said to be one-and-a-half times wider than Earth and three times heavier so scientists believe that it has a dense atmosphere and may be covered in water, which could contain fishy aliens.

The planet, known only as MOA-2007-BLG-192Lb, was unveiled last night to a conference in Missouri. Professor John Zarnecki who is the UK planetary expert said that “The Holy Grail is to find a planet just like Earth – and we are getting closer. Maybe life is more plentiful on worlds like this one than on Earth.”

Do you believe that there is life on another planet?
