UFC Results: Urijah Faber vs. Jens Pulver

Did you see the WEC show that featured the Featherweight Championship bout between Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver. And what did you think of the other fights? In the first fight “Razor” Rob McCullough won with a split decision win over Kenneth Alexander. Two judges scored the fight 30-27 for Rob and the third had it at 29-28 for Kenneth. The win will put Rob right back in the hunt for the WEC Lightweight title. The second fight saw Mark Munoz take on Chuck Grigsby. Mark took the fight at 4:15 of the first round via knock out.
The next fight was between Miguel Angel Torres and Yoshiro Maeda. At one point each fighter had one another in a heel lock and it was non-stop action from the first bell. The fight was stopped at the end of the third round as Yoshiro was unable to see out of his eye and properly defend himself. Its said that Miguel should have won over a ton of fans tonight and shown that the WEC is more than just Urijah Faber.
It has been said that it can be hard to fight and live up to so much pre-fight hype but Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver were able to do just that. Urijah and Jens gave the fans five rounds of non-stop action whether standing or on the ground.
Urijah looked like that he was always in control of the fight but he was never able to put Jens away. One judge scored it 50-45 and the other two scored it 50-44 to show Faber’s dominance.
Now the question is would you like to see a Superfight between Torres and Faber?

I think a fight between Torres (a bantamweight champion) and Faber (a featherweight champion) could be a good fight, but they are in different weight classes. They have completely different builds, and I think neither would be able to (nor should they) go up or down in class size, to be able to compete with each other. Torres is a good fighter, but the strength and speed Faber holds is insane. Could Faber keep his strength by loosing 10-20 pounds? I honestly wouldn’t want to see either go through a weight change, they fight at the best where they are now in my opinion. They are both amazing at what they do and are going to great things in the WEC and UFC.
