Sven Goran Eriksson Parts Company with Manchester City
It has just been reported that Sven Goran Eriksson has parted company with Manchester City clearing the way for Mark Hughes. It’s said that Sven Goran Eriksson’s position has been in doubt for weeks after owner Thaksin Shinawatra admitted he was unhappy with City’s season.

Apparently Thaksin is closing in on a deal to tempt Mark away from Blackburn and Sven appears to have left the club on amicable terms. Sven Goran Eriksson said that “I have enjoyed my time at Manchester City very much indeed. In particular, I would like to thank the fans, players and staff for their amazing support over the season. I wish the club — and everyone associated with it — much success in the coming years.”

Alistair Mackintosh who is the City chief executive said that “The board of directors and all at Manchester City would like to thank Sven for his efforts and contributions throughout the season. We wish him all the best for the future. Sven remains a friend of the club.”

Do you think that Mark Hughes will take over?
