
The 2008 US Open at Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day kicks off on Saturday the 23rd August where there will be interactive games, free tennis clinics and other fun activities to be enjoyed by the whole family and you will also get a chance to see your favourite tennis stars along with the latest music sensations together on one stage you cant ask for more.
Past participants at this event have included tennis players Serena Williams, Andy Roddick, Roger Federer and Anna Kournikova, and musical entertainers The Jonas Brothers, Sean Kingston, Lil’ Mama, The Cheetah Girls and Ne-yo.
General admission promenade tickets for this event are $10, and loge tickets are $20. Admission is free for the interactive games and clinics, which will take place on the outer courts from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m.
For those of you who don’t know about the Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day here is a quick summery. Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day honours tennis legend Arthur Ashe and continues his mission of using tennis as a means to install in kids the values of humanitarianism, leadership and academic excellence. This day also introduces children of all ages to the great sport of tennis while bringing families together for a fun, interactive experience.
