The Race for Life is a Cancer Research UK’s flagship event that has grown to become the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event. You can choose to walk, jog or run the 5k course; our events are an inspirational day out with family and friends. According to reports in 2007 around 665,000 women walked, jogged or run the 5k to raise £40 million pounds for Cancer Research UK.

So far two races have already taken place and they were in Maidstone and Colchester but don’t worry you still can enter the following events that are due to take place soon. Today sees the Race For Life take place at the Capstone Farm Country Park in Gillingham Kent the race starts at 11:00am so good luck to all those who are taken part.

The next race that is still open is in Folkestone on the 15th Jun 08 which will also start at 11am. The Race for Life event will take place at The Leas which is Outside Metropolitan Hotel. The 5km course will take you round The Leas and the surrounding areas. This year they are hoping to see 3000 women run, jog or walk the course to help more people survive cancer.

On the 22nd June the Race for Life event will be held at Quex Park Birchington this race again is still open. The event starts at 11am. The 5km course will take you round Quex Park Birchington, and the surrounding areas.

On the 29th June the Race for Life will take place in Ashford. The event will take place at Victoria Park Jemmet Road. The event starts at 11am. The 5km course will take you round Victoria Park Jemmet Road, and the surrounding areas.
