Annual beer festival’s set for this weekend
Stourbridge are very busy with preparations for the town’s annual beer festival which is set to take place this weekend. And they are not alone because around the UK a number of beer festivals will be taking place.

This year’s venue is Stourbridge Town Hall and it is getting 84 beers and ciders ready for the three-day event. In its 11th year, the festival kicks off tomorrow at 7pm and will continue for the next two days, with doors open from noon until 11pm.

Simon Hanson who is the Halesowen and Stourbridge CAMRA spokesman, said that “This year we have an outstanding range of beers from Windsor Castle brewery in Lye, which is the only brewery within the Halesowen and Stourbridge CAMRA area. We also have new high-tech cooling equipment this year to keep the beer at the optimum temperature.”

The third Annual Delapre Abbey Beer Festival which takes place on the 29th May until the 31st May will see Drinkers being able to choose from a selection of more than 150 beers, ciders and locally produced wines. Entry is £2 or free for CAMRA members.

And this Friday will see the new Mayor of Dover open the Dover’s annual Beer Festival. This festival will run from 3pm on Friday, May 23 and throughout Saturday, the beer festival is said to be one of the biggest fundraisers of the year and boasts a host of entertainment and music along with a wide variety of ales.

So will you be attending a Beer Festival near you?
