Demelza Charity Ball held at Leeds
On Saturday the 3rd May 2008 more than £100,000 was raised at the Demelza Charity Ball that was held at Leeds Castle and one of the massive contributions was from the ball’s sponsors, Brakes Group of Ashford, who presented them a cheque for £50,000.

Demelza Charity which is based in Sittingbourne provides hospice care for children with life-limiting illnesses across the county and beyond. It’s said that more than 500 guests enjoyed the night together with entertainers and musicians.

DJ Neil Kefford from Invicta’s ‘Kent’s Home Run’, hosted an auction in the guise of King Henry VIII. High bidding for prizes ranging from a private box to see Kylie in concert at the O2 Arena, a recording session with X Factor star Ben Mills were just among the prizes.

I think that this is a very well deserved charity and that they do a fantastic job with the children and the support they give the families of the children is amazing.
