Many people in the Thanet area are holding their breath, as a decision is expected soon as to whether the China Gateway project will be coming to Manston Business Park. This exiting new project would create 3,000 new jobs in the Thanet area and would open some time next year. It seems that we should know soon as to if the planning permission for the first phase of the China Gateway project is successful, but we know what the planning process is like as a number of key factors are taken in to consideration like the reviews of the residents in and around the area.

A number of meetings with residents are now taking place, as their feelings have to be taken into consideration. It is great to see a number of firms coming to the Thanet area; this is a much needed boast for the area as there are so many people are now looking for jobs. Another thing which could help the area is a big airline like Easy Jet coming to Kent International Airport; this would help boast Thanet better than any other business could ever hope too.
