Ebbsfleet United FC is the first Kent club to win the FA Trophy and they decided to celebrate this by taking part in a victory parade around their town. It was a great turnout for the football team as 25,000 fans helped to share in the celebrations. Ebbsfleet United FC played Torquay at Wembley on Saturday where they beat the team 1.0 to take the trophy; it was a good day for the team and a great day for the loyal fans.
To help share the team’s excitement the players and the club officials decided to put on a parade on a red double-decker bus, the parade started at the teams Stonebridge Road and then made its way to the Gravesend town centre. In a nice gesture, all the other football clubs in the area have contacted the team to wish them well, they were also asking to play some pre-season friendlies as well as bring the trophy along so the other teams can take a look. The team is now looking to get their heads down in preparation for the next season.
