Futuristic Home on Greenfield site overlooking the Kent Weald

This plan for a futuristic home on the Greenfield site overlooking the Kent Weald has been recognized as an ‘exemplar project’, the design was by Future Systems and they have revealed proposals for the private house within the Elmstone Hole conservation area that’s located in Kent. The project won planning in September of last year and the construction is going to start at the end of this year.
This paired-down family home features a plywood deck roof; floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a steel column frame and a futuristic feel from the outside. While the designers plan on making the home not stand out so much from the surrounding landscape, looking at the photo above, it certainly stands out. I love the idea of the house being heated by a ground-source heat pump and the way a flat roof will be used for grey water reuse in garden irrigation and toilets. The one-storey home will include a kitchen, dining room, living room and four bedrooms.
What do you think of a home like this in a conservation area?
